Learning Management Systems (LMS) provide the user interface necessary to participate in internet based learning. For instance, with a LMS, learners can access course content, participate in group activities and upload assignments. Learning Management Systems also include mechanisms for course administrators to monitor learner progress and participation. Other administrative functions include course registration with an e-commerce component for the collection of course fees.
